Meet our 2023-2024 Student Team!

VPAS Peer Educators, Ambassadors, and Student Advisory Group members are a crucial part of our team’s success. Each year, this team of passionate student workers and volunteers help us facilitate trainings, plan programs and events, organize outreach initiatives, and educate the UNC community about sexual and gender-based violence prevention.

Meet Our Peer Educators!

Our Peer Educators facilitate trainings and workshops on campus and in the Chapel Hill community. They teach about bystander intervention (One ACT), receiving disclosures of violence (HAVEN), supporting friends who have experienced violence (Be That Friend), and creating safer spaces in bars and restaurants (Raise the Bar).

Meet Our Student Advisory Group!

Our Student Advisory Group members help us plan outreach events, create training curricula, devise communications strategies, and research new trends in violence prevention. They provide the VPAS team with vital feedback on our programs and policies and serve as a bridge between our staff and the student community.

Meet Our Ambassadors!

Our Ambassadors assist with our outreach efforts across campus and in Chapel Hill. They also serve as a vital connection between VPAS and our campus community, educating their peers about violence prevention, healthy relationships, consent, and trauma-informed support for survivors.
