Prevention Initiatives

Throughout October, there will be several opportunities to learn more about Relationship Violence Awareness Month with events across campus.

Be That Friend is a student-led campaign that provides resources and guidance to students who know a peer that may have experience gender-based violence.

HAVEN equips participants on how to be an ally to someone who has experience secual assault, interpersonal violence, and/or stalking.

One ACT is a bystander intervention training that teaches participants how to identify violence and harrassments and how to safetly intervene.

Raise the Bar educates restaurant and bar staff on how to identify and prevent sexual violence in alcohol-serving establishments around UNC.
