Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services (VPAS) is dedicated to addressing gender-based violence and harassment at Carolina through prevention and support. We focus on providing educational initiatives and prevention programs, as well as providing confidential support and services for all members of our campus community impacted by gender-based violence and harassment.

Mission

Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services is dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive campus community. We provide comprehensive, university-wide violence prevention education and confidential services for members of our Carolina community impacted by gender-based violence and harassment. 

We are committed to proactively addressing gender-based violence and harassment through education, accessible and informed support, and collaboration with campus and community partners. By increasing awareness, offering values-driven and skills-based training and programs, and equipping our community with the tools and knowledge to respond effectively, we strive to empower the Carolina community to prevent gender-based violence. Through these initiatives, we aim to foster a campus culture of support, safety, and respect.
