Confidential Support
Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services believes that everyone impacted by gender-based violence and harassment deserves support. Gender Violence Services Coordinators (GVSC) are available to help all members of our Carolina community access resources, make empowered-decisions, and navigate their time on campus. We're here for you and we believe in you.
GVSCs provide free and confidential support and services to all University students (undergraduate, graduate, and professional), employees, and postdoctoral scholars who have experienced or been impacted by gender-based violence or harassment before or during their time at UNC-Chapel Hill. This includes experiences of sexual or gender-based harassment, sexual violence, interpersonal (relationship) violence, sexual exploitation, and stalking, whether on or off-campus. GVSCs provide support to both those directly impacted (victims/survivors) and those indirectly impacted (victims/survivors).
