The GVSCs will generally respond to your email within 48 hours or 2 business days.  

Please note: Email is not a secure method of communication, and confidentiality cannot be ensured by email communication. Individuals do not need to disclose any sensitive information about their experience via email in order to contact the GVSCs or schedule a time to meet.

If the GVSCs are unable to answer, please leave a voicemail with a number that’s safe for the GVSC to return the call. GVSCs will not return a call if someone does not leave a voicemail. The GVSCs will generally respond to your voicemail within 48 hours or 2 business days.  

Please note: Individuals do not need to disclose any sensitive information about their experience in a voicemail message in order to contact the GVSCs or schedule a time to meet. 

Hours:

The Gender Violence Services Coordinators (GVSCs) are available to meet with University students (undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctoral) and employees Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  

Employee Note: Employees who want to meet with a GVSC and explore support and options for experiences of gender-based violence and harassment may make an appointment during business hours. Employees are not required to inform their supervisor they are meeting with the GVSC. Employees can share that they have a private meeting with a resource on campus. Employees are encouraged to take steps to cover responsibilities while they are away from work. For specific questions or concerns about scheduling, please contact the GVSCs at [email protected]

Directions:

Suite 101 is on the first floor (main floor) of the Stone Center, directly across from the restrooms and near the front reception desk area. There is accessibility ramp access from the front entrance of the building (facing Bell Tower Drive).

Parking and Bus Routes:

There are a few options for paid parking near the Stone Center:

  • Metered lot behind the Stone Center (accessed via Stone Center Drive)
  • Rams Head Parking Deck
  • Metered spaces on South Road by Hooker Fields

There are also several bus lines that have stops near the Stone Center. Visit Chapel Hill Transit or GoTriangle for more information on bus routes. All University faculty, staff, students and affiliates and UNC Hospital employees with an active UNC email are eligible for a free GoPass for GoTriangle bus routes.
