Recognized in September

September marks National Campus Safety Month (NCSAM), a time recognized nationally and by UNC to raise awareness, promote prevention, and highlight resources available at Carolina to build a safer community, together.

Join VPAS and other campus safety resources for Preparedness in The Pit on Tuesday, October 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to learn how to handle all kinds of emergencies and get the tools and knowledge you need to protect yourself and our campus community.

Take the 2026 Campus Hazing Prevention Survey

UNC-Chapel Hill is part of a national hazing prevention study focused on hazing prevention and building safer student groups, organizations, and teams for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The survey is open through the end of April.

All undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are invited to take the survey.

Please visit go.unc.edu/hazingpreventionsurvey to learn more and take the survey. The survey was also sent to students via email with the subject line, “2026 Campus Hazing Prevention Survey.”

As a thank-you, students who complete the survey will be eligible to play Plinko at one of our tabling events and win It Takes All Heels swag including sweatshirts, hats, blankets, Bluetooth speakers, and more!
