It Takes All Heels Campaign

It Takes All Heels Campaign Logo

It Takes All Heels is UNC’s university-wide violence prevention campaign, launching September 2025. Co-created by Violence Prevention and Advocacy ServicesCarolina Behavioral Assessment and Management, and UNC Creative Designer Sharon Chung, the campaign promotes proactive, community-based strategies to prevent harm before it occurs.

It Takes All Heels empowers everyone at Carolina, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors, to recognize early signs of concern, take meaningful action, and support one another. By shifting prevention from isolated responses to shared responsibility, we’re building a culture where every Tar Heel plays a role in campus safety. Because when it comes to preventing violence – it truly takes all Heels.

Everyone has a role in building a safer, more supportive Carolina. Our campaign invites you to learn more about ways to prevent violence in our community – like recognizing concerning behaviors, knowing where to turn for help, and taking everyday steps that make a big difference to support others. Together, we can prevent violence—one action, one connection, one Tar Heel at a time.
