Request Outreach and Training

Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services (VPAS) loves to connect with our campus community. We welcome requests for outreach, education, and trainings from student and employee groups, university classes, offices and departments, other campus entities, and community resources. Learn more about VPAS training and initiatives.

Outreach, education, and trainings cover topics related to prevention and response, including:

  • Bystander intervention
  • Safety planning
  • Healthy relationships
  • Consent
  • Supporting individuals affected by gender-based violence and harassment
  • Resources for support and options for reporting
  • Building trauma-informed spaces on our campus

VPAS staff are happy to partner with campus and community resources to support educational and outreach initiatives. We’re open to brainstorming and planning additional topics that may interest a group. Additionally, Gender Violence Services Coordinators (GVSC) may be available to offer on-site, confidential emotional support for campus programs or events addressing gender-based violence or harassment.

To connect with VPAS for outreach or training, please complete the Outreach & Training Request Form below. We strive to accommodate as many requests as possible, but availability may be limited based on request volume and timing. For optimal scheduling, please reach out to VPAS at least 2 weeks prior to your program or event. If VPAS staff are not available, we will do our best to help identify alternative resources who may be available to assist.
