Control, Alt, Protect: Keeping Our Kids Safe Online

Join Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services and Carolina Behavioral Assessment and Management for a workshop focused on helping parents and caregivers navigate the ever-changing digital world. We’ll explore the latest trends in online behavior among kids and teens, identify common risks, and share practical strategies for keeping young people safe while empowering them to make smart choices online.

Presented by Special Agent Ray Oliver with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s Computer Crimes Unit. He will present from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., and facilitate a question and answer session from 1:00-1:30 p.m.

Open to students and employees. Registration required.

April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time recognized nationally and by UNC to raise awareness, support each other, highlight resources, and work together to prevent sexual assault and sexual misconduct at Carolina. Throughout the month, Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services and campus resources are hosting events for students and employees to connect, learn, and get involved.
