Gender-Based Violence and Child Welfare Student Research Showcase

April 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Hosted by the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center’s Gender-Based Violence Student Research Group and the Child Welfare Research and Practice Network, this showcase is designed as a supportive and engaging space where students can share their work, connect with others, and be in cross-disciplinary community around issues related to gender-based violence (e.g., sexual violence, intimate partner violence) and/or child welfare. Students and faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to attend.

The showcase offers an opportunity to explore student-led research and campus prevention efforts from multiple perspectives. The event will include a keynote from the School of Social Work’s Dr. Cynthia Fraga Rizo, highlight student research, and share more about the Injury Prevention Research Center’s student research groups and UNC’s Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services.

Light refreshments will be provided. CLE credit is available for undergraduate students. Registration is encouraged – please use HeelLife.
